HYF&C has scheduled 3 sign ups for 2008 :

 

We accept registrations from Gilberts Elementary, Hampshire Elementary, Gary D. Wright Elementary, Charter School in Pingree Grove, St. Charles Borromeo and residents of any town where there is not a chartered IYFL program may also participate.

 

If you were a Wildcat last year, your preprinted forms will be available to you at the registrations listed below.

You can also mail in registration forms to PO Box 452 Hampshire, IL 60140. After June 7th you are not guaranteed a spot on a team or squad, you will be put on a waiting list. If a spot is available a $ 25.00 late fee will be added onto your registration.

Family Discounts, 2 child less $ 50.0, 3 children less $ 100.00, 4 or more, same as 3 children.

 

Uniform deposits, $ 200.00 for football, and $ 100.00 for cheerleading. This would be separate check postdated 12/1/8. This will be refunded after you have returned everything.

 

 

After your child has attended 5 practices, the Wildcats will not refund any registration fees. You will get the equipment deposit back when the equipment is turned in.  

 

As we are a volunteer organization, we ask all parents to help us. We know not everyone can or wants to be a coach, but we have numerous things that can be done to help with the success of the program for the children. .

Football Information

IYFL

The Wildcats are a member of the Illinois Youth Football League which is made up of teams from Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin.  We follow IYFL rules, codes of conduct and team guidelines.  For more information on the IYFL or for a copy of the IYFL rules and regulations, please visit their website at www.illiniyouthfootball.com.

The Wildcats field teams at 4 levels: 

Bantamweight:    7 and 8 years old by September 1, 2008.  Ball carrier maximum weight 85, maximum single stripe weight is 105.  Weight restrictions will apply to position played.

Lightweight:  9 and 10 years old by September 1, 2008.  Ball carrier maximum weight 105, maximum single stripe weight is 125.  Weight restrictions will apply to position played.

Middleweight:  10, 11,  and 12 years old by September 1, 2008.  Ball carrier maximum weight 125, maximum single stripe weight is 135, maximum double stripe weight is 145 for  10/11 year old, Ball carrier maximum weight 110, maximum single stripe weight is 120 for 12 year old.   Weight restrictions apply to position played.

Heavyweight:  11-15 years of age before September 1, 2008.  Ball carrier maximum weight 145, maximum single stripe weight is 170, maximum double stripe weight is 210.  Weight restrictions will apply to position played. 

The IYFL is designed to have 2 levels of competition for the children. The Sunday league is competitive, while the Saturday is instructional. Our goal is to have 18-22 players per team, the first team being filled will be the Sunday team, then the Saturday team(s). This is always dependent on how many kids sign up per level. The football director and coaching staff will determine the placement of your child on the appropriate team.

Cheerleading Information

Bantam - K-1^st grade.  The Bantam are an Instructional Squad.  The Bantam will practice two times a week until school starts then only once a week.  The Bantam will cheer on Saturday’s for our Bantam Football Team.  The Bantam Squad will not go to competition, but will have the option to go to competition to cheer on the other girls.

Jr. Squads - 2^nd - 3^rd grade.  Our Jr. Squads are our intermediate squads.  The Jr. Squads will practice at least two times a week throughout the season. The Jr. Squads will cheer on either Saturday’s or Sunday’s depending on the number of girls.  It is our intention to have a Cheer Squad for every Lightweight Football Team.  It is our intention that the Jr. Squads will go to competition.

Jr. Varsity - 4^th - 5^th grade.  Our Jr. Varsity Squad is our intermediate - advanced squad.  The Jr. Varsity Squad will be practicing at least two times a week throughout the season.  The Jr. Varsity Squad will cheer on Sunday’s for our Middleweight Football Team.  It is our intention that the Jr. Varsity Squad will go to competition. 

Varsity - 6^th - 8^th grade.  Our Varsity Squad is another intermediate - advanced squad.  The Varsity Squad will practice at least two times a week throughout the season.  The Varsity Squad will cheer on Sunday’s for our Heavyweight Football Team.  It is our intention that the Varsity Squad will go to competition. 

**Depending on the number of participants for the upcoming season there may be a Saturday Cheer Squad and a Sunday Cheer Squad for the same Football Level.  Squads will be determined by the Cheer director and head coaches of each cheer squad.**

Football or Cheer Camps

Wildcat Football Mini-Camp
On June 23-26th at Hampshire Middle School from 6:00-7:30 the Wildcat staff will be conducting a mini-camp. Basic drills and an introduction to football will be covered in this camp.

If you are signed up to play for the Wildcats, the camp is free or it's  $ 15.00. If you sign up to play after the camp, the cost is deducted from your fee. For more information, please contact one of our coaches for more information.

Wildcat Cheerleading Camp
On July 8-10th at Hampshire Middle School from 6:00-7:30 the Wildcat staff will be conducting a camp.

If you are signed up to cheer for the Wildcats, the camp is free or it's  $ 15.00. If you sign up to cheer after the camp, the cost is deducted from your fee. For more information, please contact one of our coaches for more information.

Football Camps
